Default What would this car be worth......

I'm helping my buddy sell his car and neither of us have any idea what something like this would be worth in today's market. It's a '69 Camaro ragtop original 6 cylinder auto 10 bolt bench seat which now has a '65 396 T350 12 bolt w/ 3:42's. The original 6 is on a stand and the 10 bolt is on a rack in the garage. Car does need some work-older bad repair on "SS" hood, 1/4 panels could use some work as well, bondo cracked on top where the corners of the trunk lid meet. Car does need a new top BUT it is included with the car. Original color was Dover White with Forest Green interior-yuck!. The car now is Red, has 14 " rally wheels. He has added a tilt column as well. Car runs a drives well. Everything does work. I've tried loading pic's but I guess they were too big of a file. If I had to I could PM them to anyone. Any input would be greatly appreciated......thanks. Car is SOLD!!!!!

68,

My offer: $500! No, seriously, the car has potential. Even though it was originally a 6 cyl., it's already set up with the 396, AND it's a convertible.

My real reason for posting here is to tell you that, unfortunately, as a Corvette website, Corvette Forum is NOT where you will get action on this car. Go directly to the Camaro sites for this. GLWS,

Rickman

If the trim tag in the 5th photo is original to the car, then it was born with a V-8 engine and not a 6 cyl. The #12467 stamp indicates a V-8 built convertible. #12367 would indicate a 6-cyl convertible. So, with that said, this could be a diamond in the rough. It is a 1st week of December 69 build, therefore would not have an "X" code to denote a specific style for engine and trim combination. I would dig deeper into the numbers on the engine, differential, transmission, etc. Check for factory installed 13/16" front sway bar and rear bar also...check for 5 leaf rear springs...check for additional exhaust mounting bracket on the outer portion of frame on the drivers side (above rear tire)...You never know what you might find. It might very well have been a factory born big block car. Let us know what you find!!!
