Default Potential resale value of 2016 COPO Camaro?

I just got notified that I have been selected (luck of the random draw) as one of 69 people - out of 5500+ respondents expressing interest to GM - who are eligible to buy a 2016 COPO Camaro.

The price will be in the $110k range. This is strictly a drag car, not street legal. I can afford to pay cash for it, but would not keep it nor race it and would not want to lose money on the deal.

My hope would be to flip it to one of the many non selected folks and make some money on the deal. It seems that these have resold for $150k+ in the past generations. Rick Hendrick bought serial #1 at auction - for charity - for $800k.

What are my odds that this would be a winner for me?
I have 48 hours to respond..................

I'm no expert but a factory race car... 66 built, $150K would be a quick flip. But sorry to say I'm not a buyer...

Unless you find a collector who "has to have it", I'd say your target market is serious dragsters only. And I don't that a lot of those guys are going to be willing to spend more for it.

You can't count Rick's prices as any sort of value. He buys the first of everything cool for insane money. Spent over a million on the first C7s each, etc. It's for charity which means it's a tax write off for him.

I think that the speculation market in these limited production cars is getting out of control. Between dealers gouging, and "investors" buying to flip, I'm surprised the manufacturers haven't cracked down more. Ford has apparently been trying to keep this from happening to the Ford GT, but I don't know how successful they will be.

This all said, I'm not a buyer for that car so my opinion might not be worth much.

Id say not real good
If they could be registered for the st and you put it away for 30 yrs maybe.
Buy R.E. at the right price, much safer or silver.
