Drilled holes around grill mounts
I am restoring a 1965 convertible small block no a/c car. I posted pictures of the body specifically where the grill mounts are. It appears that Bubba got carried away drilling a bunch of holes. The post in the body/paint section is:

Can someone post pictures of what holes should be there? It appears from the AIM that there are two mounting brackets per side. Are there holes there for other stock reasons?

A quick look at my '66 shows only four holes per side (for two mounting brackets per side). The area that you show is where a lot of these old cars fitted custom parklamps or foglights behind the grille.

Monsieur ! Here's a couple of photos that I just took from the '66 Coupe. It doesn't look like the front end has been messed with and as you can see there are only four holes per side (2 for each grille bracket that is riveted into the grille opening into the front wheelhouse). As you can see these were drilled out after some of the blackout in the grille opening was done, this the difference in color. Hope this helps, I plan on installing the restored grille of mine next week.
