Problem brazing Aluminum
Pretty sure this isn't the right place to ask this, but here goes.
Trying to braze a 1/8" bung to .062" pipe, both T6061.
Using Vulcan G-51 rods and flux, map gas + oxygen.
Looks perfect but then cracks after sitting outside in the cold (28f).
Might be the stuff is too weak to handle the expansion/contraction of different thickness metals and might have to get it TIG'd
Any ideas?
Thanks

We use the HTS-2000 rods w/good results...an air operated high speed die grinder to wire brush the joint to get it super clean...DON'T overheat the joint during the brazing process.
