Default Problem brazing Aluminum

Pretty sure this isn't the right place to ask this, but here goes.

Trying to braze a 1/8" bung to .062" pipe, both T6061.
Using Vulcan G-51 rods and flux, map gas + oxygen.
Looks perfect but then cracks after sitting outside in the cold (28f).

Might be the stuff is too weak to handle the expansion/contraction of different thickness metals and might have to get it TIG'd

Any ideas?

Thanks

We use the HTS-2000 rods w/good results...an air operated high speed die grinder to wire brush the joint to get it super clean...DON'T overheat the joint during the brazing process.

Going to counter bore and screw it down old school like the MAF mount and call it done.
Thanks

let the weld cool with a low flame on it, remove the flame and cover it with a welding blanket
