I don't use the excuse of safety to control what others do. None of my business how they want to race. Voted troll 
I can only tell you I wouldn't do it without enclosure. Not because of deadly projectiles which I've dealt with for >40 years riding a motorcycle but because exposure is disorienting. Above 40 mph wind roars so loud you can forget hearing tires on the road, or even the engine unless you're accelerating. A little rain and you can't see worth a damn because of water on your face shield, or glasses, not to mention the fogging
