Just saw the Chicago Trib ran an article, appears they are not going to test pre 96 cars as long as you passed your last emissions test.

Post '96 cars dont need to run cats either. This is good news for the pre '96 cars though. Time to start running some wicked motors without having to worry about emissions.

BTW, what did you "paste" your last emissions test to?

Where did you read that post '96 cars don't need cats?

I didnt read it anywhere. Its called bending the rules a bit. If the pcm thinks you have cats you will be fine.

Gotcha, you know its easier to take pics of your car sitting in a paddock and sending them in for the combo race/show car exemption.

Yeah when I went to pass emissions last in the Mustang they were tellin me that, looks like cats are never goin back on

One thing I didn' understand about the law: It states
Recent changes to the Vehicle Emissions Inspection Law of 2005 provide that vehicles of model year 1995 and older that are in compliance with the law as of February 1, 2007, will no longer be subject to emissions testing.
So if my most recent test was before Feb 2007, will I still have to take one more test?

i wonder the same thing, which pisses me off cause i went in the fall and i could have said the car was in storage caues it pretty much was and waited till spring to go pass
