Hd Tv Rocks But Not Enough Channels Yet . I Have Direct Tv And They Have All Chicago Locals And About 10 Other Channels . But I Need More.......... 42 Inch Vizio Plasma

Looks like we may have lost you Johnny. I'm watching the Godfather on Bravo. It is my favorite movie and although I have the set on tape, I still watch it when it's on TV.

Screen Burn
Johnny be VERY careful about screen burn on a new plasma (if yours is new). When the picture goes from widescreen to 4:3 (ie commercials) you get sidebars. Too many times with this and you "could" get screen burn. I bought a Samsung plasma from Best Buy (Bloomingdale store) in September. They hooked it up and all, and fried my TV. Called em for help and they said too bad, screen burn is not covered. Lost $1,600. Would not want to see this happen to anyone else.

I also lost a Samsung HD TV this way... freekin' sucks!

My parents have a 42" TV that I helped them shop for that is an LCD HDTV, and we have Dish Network, and the DVR/HDTV receiver is awesome, and so it the picture. I just love watching the Discovery Channel-it's amazing what a difference a TV can make when watching some of that programming.

50" Panasonic DLP with Comcast HD here.
Digital basic is included in my townhouse association dues, so I only have to pay the difference between that ($50) and whatever else I want.

60" SONY similar to lcd no burn in -watch Pipes, Hot Rod TV, Horsepower TV, etc -HD National Geo had a great show on the Ferrari Plant and how the cars are made - TIVO'd that one!!
