Chicago Caravan to ALMS Race at Road America - Saturday August 11
We are planning on meeting up at the Lake Forest Oasis on 94 at 9:30am on Saturday for a caravan up to Road America. We will depart around 9:45am for the approximately 2 hour ride up to Road America.

I'm in..works great for for me. This should be a fun day and we can meet up with the Southern Wisconsin crew who are caravaning up to the Corvette Corral for the AMLS.

I live in Racine WI. My son and I are probably going to RA on Saturday. So...what time ya think you will be passing through Racine? Maybe I can join in. Such a caravan to RA would be neat. Dale

we are leaving the oasis aabout 9:45 so I would think with in an 1/2 hour up to racine ???

I will meet you guys there. I will be going up on Friday staying in the Motor Coach. I hope to get a spot near the Corvette Corral. I am going to try to bring the Vette. Do we need to have a tailgate party before or after? I hope to get a good spot near the track to park. Anyone wanting to meet up that does not have my cell PM me. Also anyone who has a suggestion for the best Motorhome parking around the track, let me know. TommyN

I know there is RV parking just ahead of the Corvette Corral. I also am told turn 9 parking is a great spot with lots of action. Looks like we will find the best spot available on friday when we get there. I was told golf carts were not allowed. I can bring my scooter, its got plates!

Private Golf Carts Are Not Allowed Because They Want You To Rent The Carts From The Track. $300. Little Steep For Me.
There Is A M H Site Around The Corner From The Corral At The Gate 4 Entrance. The Other Decent Spot May Be Along The Hurry Downs Between Turns 7 And 8. There Is The One M H Site Neer The Vip Tower But I Don't Knokw If They Are Using That As A Staging Paddock For Any Touring Groups - If There Are Any.

If you come in on 67 take a left on J, that will take you to gate 4 at the top of the hill.
Come in gate 4 and go straight ahead. Look for the first opening in the tree line on your right and pull in between the tree opening. You'll be on the back end of corner 3. The Corral is on the front side of 3. You'll be about a two minute walk from the corral. You'll see it as soon as you pull in.
