I really think that your friend will have absolutely no trouble getting that price...but not at this time of the year. I would HIGHLY advise that he waits until spring....when Corvette car fever with T-tops is at it's peak and demand for the vehicle is better. At the begining of winter, I don't think you would have as much luck.
I have an 82 CE with 40K miles that I am seriously considering selling next spring. I'm going a different route though...I'm going to sell it at an auction. If I don't get my reserve price, it does't sell, and you weed out the screwballs who want to just joy ride in the car, scope out your house, or just waste your time.
