Great day at Putnam. Started off with heavy rains and cleared up. 10/10ths are a great bunch of people.

Default Oops! Late notice for Rollin' on the River Show--Cinti, OH July 26

Sorry. This annual event somehow slipped off my radar. Always a good time with free admission. Held in Fernbank Park in the SW corner of Hamilton County overlooking the beautiful Ohio River with plenty of free parking.

Weather looks like it'll be hot and sunny. Come on out if you're footloose.

Default Jackfit

To those that hang out in the C1 & C2 section you know about Jackfit. A member of this forum who several years back drove his '66 L79 to all of the lower 48 states and later did an European tour as well. Along the way he visited as many corvette forum members as he could, esp those with midyears. Jack will be driving thru Columbus again on August 22-23 in his '66 convertible and if anyone is interest in meeting him and other forum members that weekend, Pm the OP.

Jack's thread about his tours:

Not sure how we have missed this one on the list. Not Corvette specific, but still fun. I had the little one to myself this evening, so we went to Der Dutchman and they have a cruise in every Thursday during the summer. Nice little turn out and typically it is older vehicles with just a few "newer" ones that show up.

Weekly Der Dutchman Cruise-in
May 21 – Sep 24
5PM
DER DUTCHMAN | PLAIN CITY
Bring your classic car or truck and join us for Der Dutchman's Weekly Cruise-in. Scheduled for every Thursday from May 21 to September 24 - located just south of Der Dutchman. Includes food, fun, friends, oldies music and door prizes.

Free Admission.

We did just that DA. Hopped in the 91 vert and headed up to Mt Vernon, then to Mohican st park. Some back country roads back to 36 and then 79 to Newark If you have never been on rt 714, it is a really fun road to run. 79 isn't bad either. Ended up in Newark at the Toys for Tots cruise in at Indian mound mall. Record turn out today, but only two vettes. Tons of challengers, tuners and mustangs though. Took part in the parade/cruise to the house of hope in st Louisville to give the toys to the charity. Stopped into ye old mill for an ice cream cone and a cup of coffee then came home. Simply a beautiful day to be out enjoying your car. It's amazing how they like the cool dry air.
