Default SE Ohio Corvette Cruise 10/11/14

This will be the 4th year for this event. Last year we had almost 60 Vettes and this year we are expecting even more.
We had quite a few people from this Forum attend last year, hope to see you back again.
If you are going to be staying at the Motel, make your reservation soon. We basically have the whole motel blocked, but the unused rooms will be released in about a month.
Information is at this link.
http://valueaccessories.net/SEOhioFa...etteCruise.htm

Click the image to open in full size.

When: Saturday October 11th 2014, 9:30 AM,

Where: Starting at 9:30 AM from the parking lot of the Best Western. 4929 East Pike,
Zanesville, OH (740) 453-6300, I-70 exit 160.

Friday Night: We will have a meet and greet at about 6:30 PM Friday night at the Motel. Pizza and snacks for everyone just off the lobby and outdoors. If you can bring items for the Meet and Greet it would be greatly appreciated, let us know.

Be gassed up and ready to go by 9:00 AM, short meeting at 9:10 and leaving promptly at 9:30 AM.
Everyone is invited; you just have to have a Corvette.

Description: Drive from Zanesville going East, through scenic winding back roads at times following a few rivers and lakes. Route will go around Seneca Lake & Dam, Wayne National Forest and along the Ohio River. You will enjoy some of the curves in this section.
The cruise will go into New Martinsville, WV for lunch at the Court Restaurant.
The Court Restaurant has a home made lunch buffet (with home made deserts) for appx. $10.95. We will have a private area set aside for our group. We will be at the restaurant at approximately 12:30 PM.

After lunch we will go south on Ohio 7 and have a stop along the Ohio River for pictures. We will re-group when leaving the stop letting anyone wanting to go a little slower in the next group of curves to be in the rear portion.
Then we will be proceeding west into the National Forest on route 260 and then South on 26. We will be sending cars out in groups of approximately 6 at a time from the Covered bridge on Route 26 going South. This will allow you to enjoy the curves in this section at your own pace There will be lots of great curves and scenery to enjoy in this section ending up just north of Marietta then over to Route 60. There will be a gas stop in Marietta, (optional ending at this point).
We will then take route 60 up along the Muskingum River to Route 83 and up into the hills. Planned stop in this portion will be an overlook on top of one of hills, good photo opportunity. If you are more into a leisurely drive for the last 40 Miles up to I-70 you can continue straight on Route 60 instead of going up Route 83, just let us know at the gas stop if you will be going straight.

There is very little traffic on these roads on Saturday, making this a very enjoyable drive.

This will be a 216 mile (total) drive ending at the Host Motel. The Optional Ending is 153 Miles ending just north of Marietta Ohio, mid afternoon (approximately 3:15 PM). If going to I-77 from the BP stop, then continue south on 60 then turn left on 821 to I-77. You can also just continue South into Marietta.
There will be plenty of time for socializing.
This is a good opportunity to take a nice cruise in your corvette on some of the best roads you can find anywhere.
Best of all, this cruise is free and does not cost anything except food and gas. Donations accepted for Friday night pizza and snacks.

In addition to the Main Escorted Cruise on Saturday: If you would like to stay a day or two extra and do some cruising we have some extra suggested routes. Click here to see all of the additional suggested routes. There are lots of great roads and routes to take.
In addition, see the SE Ohio Fall Corvette Cruise Guidelines Page.

Contact: Teresa or Rick from Value-Accessories with any questions..
E-Mail: valueacc@valueaccessories.net 440-259-3071

Motel: We have reserved rooms at the host motel (Best Western, 4929 East Pike, Zanesville, OH, 740-453-6300).
To make reservations for Friday or Saturday or both nights at the Best Western, you just need to give them a call and give them the reservation number B508Wiles#10. You will need to give them a credit card number to hold a room for you. You will have lots of company at the motel.

The rooms are discounted at $65.99 plus tax a night, (one King size bed, double queens, up to 4 persons per room). If you need a smoking room you will need to tell them when making reservations. Please book early if you are planning on going, the motel fills up on weekends and will be full for this event. Mention Group rate, B508Wiles#10, for the group discount. The motel does have an indoor pool, internet and a good breakfast included.
You must make the reservations by 9/25/14 to get rooms in the reserve block. This will fill up.

Clay tells me that we get a free cup of coffee if you say you are with cars and coffee this Saturday am. Might make the trip down in the DD around 9:30 this Saturday am. Anyone else game?

Double check, but I think the free cup of coffee is on the 17th and not this weekend.

The ECTA is running the Wilmington Mile this weekend, May 2 & 3.
It is at the Wilmington Airport and is a must for anyone who loves cars. This is the Hot Rod meet which is usually the largest and fastest. Cars like you have never seen before.
Check the ECTA website or Google Wilmington Mile.
Military or ex-military bring your I.D. or DD-214 for free entry.

Just signed up for open track time at Mid- Ohio on June 12th. I'm rather new to this sort of thing . Wondering if any other vette owners might want to also show up that day.

It is a regular scheduled "Open Track Time" event with Mid Ohio. They have about 4/yr. The link is above. It is a relatively inexpensive way to get your vette on the track for an hour. Check it out!
