I have heard (but am attempting to verifying) that this event is open to non club members with Corvettes too.
I would like to get a 1/4 mile run with timeslip.

Hey Mike, any news on this one? What's the fee -- never mind, I got it. Damn, why are these events always on Sunday?
Hey, we can race!! Somethin' tells me you'd whoop my 2.73-havin' azz, though...

Re: Dayton OH area; Aug 11. Troy Corvette Club renting KilKare Dragway. (Vette Ed)
here is the email response I received from the Troy Corvettes event coordinator:
Thanks for your interest in our event at KilKare. We welcome non-member
entrants, though the cost to participate is a bit higher than for members.
There are 2 events, one is what we call a Matching Time Trial. Each entrant
gets 3 runs with the 2 closest in elapsed time determining the closest
match. Winners are determined on consistancy. Then we have bracket drag
race.
You as a non-member would compete in the X bracket where any
non-members or non-Corvettes will compete. The track is open for practice
at about 10 and unlimited practice is available to all entrants. You would
have to enter in at least one of the events to get any runs. For non
menbers, entry is $20 for 1 event, $30 for both.
I'm not the authority on helmets. Snell foundation rates helmets . . . I
believe for our events Snell 1996 or newer is required. I would think most
any auto or motorcycle helmet made in recent years would meet this. There
are stickers inside with a Snell number.
I look forward to meeting you at our event!
I am going to try and make it. I am not interested in competing in their overall contest, just would like to know my 1/4 mile times and speed.
