I think Jet Stream Blue would look good it's close enough to the original color but it is more vibrant .

No question in my book, BC/CC. Just my .02 - Shot a lot of lacquer back in the day, after using the BC/CC would never go back unless you were going 100% original. Your going to get the same look (in my opinion) with a MUCH-MUCH better product.single malt!!!! How are your tequila taste buds??

Since your going with a modern engine and trans Len I would go with the modern paint if it were me (BC/CC) to give it the best possible look.

Good luck Len!

The transmission, clutch, PP, flywheel are all here. The engine should be here this week. The car should be back from suspension work in a week or so. I will try to update everyone as progress is made.

Looks awesome Len, Happy New Year buddy let the fun begin!

I'd would recognize that as a Quickfuel Carb in a New York heartbeat. I have a brand new 950 cfm Quickfuel on my 565 ci 1967 Camaro.

Yeah, the valve covers give it away.

That looks real nice, and that car will be a blast to drive.

NCRS?? Not quite.

I am going to rebuild the original bits as time & $$ allow. None of the changes are permanent. Let me know when you are in the area.

Default Update

The car will not be back from suspension rebuild until the end of the month. I need to be in NY most all of the week of 1/19 anyway so not a beg deal.

The flywheel, PP & clutch should be here today. I am planning to get the bell housing clocked and the FW, PP clutch mounted. I need to get the clutch arm pivot ball etc, but I suspect that these are in stock at Summitt. Hopefully get the trans mated to the engine by the end of the week (depends on work load).

I was a little concerned about the oil pressure gage, but I spoke to the people who are going to restore the cluster. I am told the factory 80# gage is actually good for well over 100# so that shouldn't be an issue.

I will post pictures as I go along.

Default Update

Offset Bell Housing locating pins cam in around 12:30 this afternoon. Screwed around for about 3 hours trying to get everything aligned. Wound up within 0.0035" TIR so that is finally done!

Installed the clutch and pressure plate.

Installed adjustable pivot ball for the clutch arm. Waiting for the paint to dry on the arm to install that and button up the bell housing.

I may try to get the transmission sorted and mounted to the engine tomorrow (depending on workload) Now I do believe that it might be time for an old, single malt or two
