Update 02/28/2015
Thought I would post an update;
The engine / trans et al is out!
Resting comfortably ................
The cluster is finished (sorry no pic); and the wiper motor / washer pump will be here before I get back. After the 18th it should (God willing and the creek don't rise) start going back together

A lot of the little pain in the azz stuff is done; the wiper motor is back in (for those unfamiliar with mid years; the wiper motor is the first part on the assembly line. The rest of the car was assembled around it ) front fender splash guards are nearly in. I want to know which genius thought that staples were a good idea!
Today's plan is to correct Bubba's wiring issues (anyone know where Bubba lives? I would like to have a word with him!) AND with a little luck the engine / trans will go in.

Well the engine & transmission is in!
It was a bit of a challenge getting it in
The Tremec is about 2 1/2 inches longer than the Muncie that came out so it makes for not a lot of clearance between the case and the trans mount.
More to follow ........................................ ........

More of the little stuff completed; Glove box back in, clock back in, etc.
Starting on the bigger stuff; DS header in and side pipe layout started.
Still not completely sure I want to go with the side pipes, but I am seriously leaning in that direction.
The steering column lower support bearing retainer is seriously rusted into the housing. I played around with it for about 2 hours with no luck. Ordered a replacement column, so waiting for that to arrive.

I remember how sweet that car sounded with the 327 inside. Looking forward to hearing it's new voice.
