Default Driving your Vette or other Bad Azz Sports Car or Muscle Car in December part VVVII

Anytime I can be driving my good weather sport car in December is a very good day.

Today, Sat., December 6, had my 2009 Viper out all day. Roads are dirty and have salt powder that is pretty much faded away, but clean enough for me to take out my baby for what might be (hope not) one of her last rides until early Spring.

Checked out a brand spanking new shark grey 2015 C7 Z06 (Z07 option) at Castle Chevy, in Villa Park (Bad azz car that is sold and going to Miami), then Bill Kay's Muscle Car and Corvette store, and then D&M Corvettes in Downers Grove, where I am friends with the owner, Dave, who always has a great display of old school muscle cars, drag race gassers and vettes in his showroom.

Now I am off to celebrate 16 years of marital bliss with my beautiful wife, Michele, for a killer dinner at Perry's Steakhouse in Oakbrook, but will be taking a limo for that, as I plan on doing some good celebrating!

Another great afternoon cruising the Viper on Sunday Dec. 7th, a day that will live in infamy!

Blasted out in the Viper Venom Snake to Gat Guns, where I spent an enjoyable afternoon after a great Church Service, and was almost tempted into buying another 1911 after hanging out at Gats, but I exercised will power for the time being.

Would have been good to run into you buddy! It would not have been the first time I ran into you at GATS on a weekend and I'm sure it won't be the last!

Glad to see your taking THE class now, ata boy!

If your interested in buying a the best bang for the buck QUALITY 1911 Commander Size for CCW, pm me, as they have one on sale there that is by far the best 1911 .45 bang for the buck 1911 on the market. So good that even though I own too many 1911s, my favorite semi-auto pistol of all time, I was very tempted to pull the trigger myself (pun intended)!

Yes I do Bob.

And you know how I research things also and for anybody reading here who might be in the market for a stellar 1911 .45 ACP at an incredible value, the Ruger, 1911, Commander, .45 acp, on sale for only $669 is a REAL old school classic gun, arguably (1911s) are still the most popular semi auto pistol in America. The Ruger 1911 Commander (or full size 5 inch barrel) with its great looks, finish, fitment, accuracy, lifetime warranty, etc., is a great CCW weapon given how slim 1911s are, and with the reduced 4.25 barrel (on the Commander). Comes with two 7 round magazines and is the best valued 1911 for under $1,000, and under $700 is a STEAL for what your getting.

Although the Springfield XDS .45 is very concealable and small, I don't like the low capacity of the XDS but I tend to do things a bit excessively.

I don’t think that I am the only one that asks themselves “and I’m doing this way again?” about an hour in to these classes? As always, much to consider here.

We should discuss this over lunch as I would hate to have the mighty “Driving your Vette or other Bad Azz Sports Car or Muscle Car in December part VVVII” thread moved to another section…

Congrats Jimmy !! All the best to you and your better half!

Bob: The XDS is not too comfortable to shoot. The stippling on the grip is VERY aggressive.

Is the restaurant for lunch "Corvette Friendly" ?

December 13, 2014, just another day to have your fun summer car out.

Had the 2009 Viper out all day, 3rd Saturday in a row was able to meet with some great friends from the forum at HB Jones in Elmhurst, visited my dad and made sure he got his food, drink and meds., then had enough time to blast out to Chicago Motor Cars where I bought my Viper 1.5 years ago, and was able to quickly check out Omar the Cool Guy's awesome, brand spanking new C7 Z06, White exterior, red interior, with black wheels, 3LZ package, awesome car Omar, certainly one of my favorite color schemes.

Now its out to dinner with some good friends of ours to celebrate the wife's Birthday!

Changed the oil to 10/30 for the winter and get it out of the garage and the wife says "taco bell", i pull into the Bell and this elderly lady about 80 i think with a walker gives me the thumbs up sign.

I held the door for her as she was entering and she said "nice ride, my third husband had a vette in 68".

Is Kings Corvette still around ? Way out on the south side

Did you get the 80 year old lady's phone number? Does she have a Sister???

I rented the Springfield XDs in 9mm and Len is right about the aggressive texture on the grip. I imangine the .45 cal would be considerably worse.

I put my Corvette on storage only insurance back on November 10th when it started getting crappy and salty.

I miss it a lot already.
