2015 ncm bash !!
Ok, now that it's officially 2015 - and SO f'n cold, I want to start thinking of spring, and driving, and of course the National Corvette Museum's annual BASH. Dates are April 23-25, and as you'll see from the link below, the agenda looks great, and you'll be able to see the entire 2015 Corvette lineup, including the beautiful Z06.
http://www.corvettemuseum.org/regist...ash/info.shtml
If you haven't been to, or have heard of the BASH, it's a great event to not only see cars and have fun,but you get to rub elbows and talk to the engineers, marketing people, and assembly line folks who bring us the Corvette every year.
There are at least 4 of us going down from the Chicago Crew (Johnny, Joe, Jim and I). To get the best experience, we're going to leave early on Wednesday the 22nd in time to experience a few laps around the new NCM Motorsports Park (parade laps they're calling them…), then Thursday morning a plant tour, etc., etc.
Who else wants to go??

This was starting to sound good but I'm not sure I want my elbows rubbed.

I live in downstate IL on the prairie.
I've gone to the NCM for the Bash and few other events. I am about 3 hours away. I am thinking about going to the Bash again this year. I guess I better make up my mind before the hotel rooms get booked; if they are not already. Where is the Chicago crew staying?

Bob - wasn't even aware you had any elbows…..
ZR1Cat - we're staying at the Marriott Courtyard - but I'm sure there's still time to get a room - they've build a lot more hotels (if you want to call them that) down there over the years, especially around that Scottville Rd exit (I think exit 22).
The more the merrier!

April 23-25 marks the start of event season at the Museum. This year's Bash offers activities at both the Museum and Motorsports Park, plus the opportunity to see the 2016 Corvette and hear from the engineers and designers as to what's new with the latest model.
Corvette Racing's Tommy Milner, Doug Fehan and Dan Binks will be here for a seminar and autographs. Jim Mero will share Corvette Nurburgring stats (and stories of what its like to test the car), and Dave Wickman of GM Proving Grounds will also present.
Guided road tours, celebrity choice car shows, Ladies' Oasis, Garage Party with the women of GM, C4/C5/C6/C7 Specialist Paul Koerner, Golf with GM, Meet & Greet BBQ, Parade Laps, Autocross, Banquet with Dueling Pianos and more round out this great event.
Check out the complete agenda and register online here.
Edit: They keep mentioning updates on the 2016. It's listed a couple of times in their agenda, and now in this new release. I'm beginning to think it may not be a typo. That would be kinda cool!!

My plan is to depart early Sunday as well as I've got to head to Pittsburgh on Monday as well. That's my "plan" - there's an outside chance I may need to leave Saturday, but hopefully not.
