The snow in Chicagoland in quickly melting! Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain to clean up the roads a bit.
Just 7 days now until April 1st.

If this light dusting of snow this Friday morning leads to additional salting (which it probably will b/c of today's colder temps of 30 degrees); it will be a little bit of late March set-back.
BUT, April 1st, is now just 6 days away, and this is winter's last gasp!
Also, looks like there is some rain in Sunday's forecast to clean up the roads a little bit with temps in the high 40s.

Right. Silly me to think winter would end prior to April in Chicago.
Had my heart set on getting it out of remote garage today.
Life's tough. Get tougher. Right ?

I'm hoping the Summer Tires can go on the Focus ST Monday and that starting next week I can drive either car when I feel like it.
I looks like we might see low's in the 30's which I'm willing to chance on Summers (just need to drive slower) but most days look to be over 40 all day.

Man do we ever need some RAIN to wash away all this major salt just dumped on Thursday, as a result of a 1/8 inch dusting of snow, so we can start enjoying all our fun toys come April 1st, now just 4 days away!

After today's rain which washed away the majority of the salt on most roadways, I will be good to go with all my FUN vehicles effective immediately, just in perfect timing as usual with April 1st, now just 3 days away, as long as we don't get anymore salt. With the forecasted temps. the next 7 days I think we are home free now!

With is snowing tonight in Michigan I still can't take off the snow tires on the Focus ST, and the Corvette has been out once or twice but it's always a temperature checking exercise.
Based on the weather it looks like I'll be lucky to pull the snows off on April 9th (more likely April 13th) and I'll have to be particular with the Corvette until then as well.
This is annoying to say the least. Winter needs to get over with.

Things are looking real good for us in Chicago as rain on Sunday washed away the vast majority of the salt, had the Viper out today, rest of the week is in the 60s and 50s, and 40s, and now just 2 days away from April 1st!

I took the plunge.
I put the Summer Tires on the Focus ST. The Corvette is ready as well.
So basically if it drops under 30 (which it might Friday for a few hours). I'm now trapped at home...
By Tax Day (April 15th) all should be well.
