Guys,

I'm in Texas, and this car is in Lansing, MI. For whatever reason, I really have come to like the Centennial Edition cars. I swore I'd never have a black car again, but the carbon metallic paint just looks fantastic to me.

It fits all my requirements... color, low mileage, GS coupe (b/c once I purchase one it will be twin-turbo'd within a month), auto transmission (b/c I have 2 other vehicles that are manuals, and I like something I can jump in when I don't want to row gears).

The internet salesman has been very helpful.

So... has anyone had dealings with Shaheen Chevrolet, and by any chance (shot in the dark, I realize) does anyone on here possibly know the original owner of this car?

That's a great help, guys... I wouldn't ask you to drive an hour away to go see the car.

it didn't meet reserve, so let me make sure it is still there AND the salesman and I are close on price before you guys go make a trip.

If you were 10 mins away (there are literally 4 Chevy dealers within 10 mins of me here in N. Dallas), that'd be one thing, but the last thing I want is for a Vette brother/sister to take that much time out of their day to inspect a car where the dealer won't budge on price.

I have bought from Shaheen and I also have my car serviced there, they are a good dealership. I looked at that car a few weeks ago when I was there for service, and it's a nice ride. Are you dealing with Ben?

Thank you all! I thought people down here in the south were friendly and helpful (I'm biased, since I grew up here in N. TX)... but wow, the outpouring of offers to help from this great group in MI is very much appreciated!

Some of you have offered to drive 30-40 mins to see the car, and i don't want to spend your time that way until I'm closer to a deal on the car.

Hope all of you are warm and dry up in the "great white north" (which, to us southerners is about anything north of the Mizzou/Ark border).
