[SW Ohio] Cruise to Buds, May 9
We've done this trek in the past, time to do it again!
We meet at the McDonalds in Vandalia, just off I-75 @ Rt. 40
At 7:30, cruise together to Troy, where we take "the back way"... Rt. 66 to Buds. A slight detour around the western edge of beautiful Lake Loramie, and then arrive at Buds as the event opens.
Anyone interested in being a part of the pack, be ready to leave the McDonalds there in Vandalia @ 7:30am.
I will be parked in the western (back) part of the McD's lot; Shark Gray C7. If you have FRS radios, be on channel 6; though probably won't be needed.
There's no pre-registration or anything to come along; just be there! But if you plan on going with the caravan... it would be great to know if possible. We've done this many times before, and were always able to stay together; a long parade of Corvettes !!!
Here's the entire route:
I-75 and Rt. 40 @ 7:30am
* 75 north to N. Co. Rd 25a (exit just past Rt. 36). Turn west.
* Co. Rd. 25a to Rt. 66 (turn right - north, just past the Great Miami River)
* In Ft. Loramie, a slight de"tour" of Lake Loramie on Rt. 362.
* Back on Rt. 66 north, to Buds.
Hope to see you!
Tim (Mike Mercury)
Yvonne (OhioGirl)
Joe (EgoTrip) and Kim
Harley (HEB)
Keith (kvozel) and Debbie

Count me and maybe "you know who" in for now. A great opportunity to start the season.

One week away - to the "start of the season". Hope all of you can be at the McDonalds.. in time for the 7:30 departure. If you won't know until the last minute, that's fine; there's no sign-up required.

I'm working till 12 am Friday night so I doubt I'll make the McDonald's but hope to make it there later that morning.

Guess the rain had scared everyone away by the time we arrived at 2:15.
Figured the rain hit as we got there. Ended up driving into Celina and checking out a cool Italian restaurant on the lake. The summer is still early!!
