Default Ohio front plate

I know it's currently on the books as required, however, there is a draft waiting to be voted on changing front plate requirement. I thought it was official last spring (2014) but apparently not. I see many fellow vette owners that do not have a front plate, along with many Camaro and Mustang owners. Today's car don't seem to be designed with a front plate in mind. My question is, "Is there an exemption available in Ohio to excuse the front plate requirement for any reason?

No. And with every municipality and county cruiser getting rigged with plate scanners, there probably never will be.

I too would doubt that there is an exemption for running the front plate. If you don't want the plate there, just run the risk of getting pulled over and ticketed. Otherwise, hope your state legislature changes the law.

Just run a historical or classic plate

Then you don't "have" to have the front plate. I run one right now because I haven't found a good quality front grill to replace it with yet.

Use the aero plate - no drilling required.
