Lookingglass Corvette Club Takes ‘Top Club Award’ at Bloomington Gold
Highland News Leader - August 10, 2015
The Lookingglass Corvette Club of Southern Illinois (LGCC) took home the Top Club Award at Bloomington Gold, a large event for Corvette owners and enthusiasts, held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway June 25-27.
It was a close race to see which club would have the most Corvettes in attendance, but it was LGCC that came out on top of the 55 Corvette clubs made the trip to Indianapolis. LGCC had 79 Corvettes at the event. This is the fourth time LGCC has taken top club honors with the most Corvettes at Bloomington Gold.
LGCC was formed in Highland in 1976 and has grown into one of the largest, most well-known Corvette clubs in the state with more than 200 member families.
