The suspect is described as an African-American man in his 30s, standing about 5-foot-10-inches and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt and dark-colored khaki shorts and white socks. He was unshaven with dark hair that was combed back, with dread-type curls on the ends.

The car driven by the offender has dark tinted windows, no front license plate and a visor on the roof in front of the sunroof, a dark brown or dark blue older model Nissan Altima

This a very disturbing crime that hits close to many of our homes in the west suburbs and I really feel for the victim and her family (very sad and disturbing).

This piece of chit scum needs to found ASAP! Too bad we could not give him the type of extreme torture and slow death that he really deserves!

A suspect was taken into custody in South Bend, Indiana Tuesday in connection with the stabbing and sexual assault of a 26-year-old woman inside her parents' suburban home over the weekend, according to Willowbrook police.

The suspect was being interviewed by investigators, but no charges had been filed as of Tuesday evening, officials said.

Great they got him but honestly this a$$hole is now going to sit in our prison system living the good life with 3 hots and a cot (actually much more luxurious these days). These scumbags should get a $.30 bullet and I assure you it would be a deterrent to others thinking about doing the same thing. I cannot stand Gary McCarthy but even he made a comment recently about these offenders on the street after their 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th charges for weapons and they are still on the street. Instead of more gun laws (god knows we have waaaay more than we need), we actually lock up the bad guys/repeat offenders and actually begin to stop this $hit instead of making up new "placebo/feel good" laws????

100%, prison for these slime bags is way too easy and until the punishment equals the crime (an eye for an eye) things are just going to continue to get worse and worse, as we are currently witnessing right now on a daily basis.

Too bad an Eye for an Eye justice system will never happen in this country. When you have 13, 14, 15 and 16 years olds with a wrap sheet a mile long for rape, gun charges, drug dealing, murder, attempted murder, aggravated battery, committing crime after crime and then being released after a few months in juvi.; (you have one SCREWED up criminal justice system and that's what we have and its just going to get worse and worse).

I'm glad they apprehended the guy. Let's hope he doesn't get off on some technicality or cut a deal to spend only a little time in jail and then qualify for parole.

Willowbrook is only a few short miles away. Living in the burbs gives us a false sense of security that these type of events don't happen here, and that it's only a city problem.
