Southern Indiana Fall Colors Cookout and Cruise October 24th

We drove the cruise route today - the fall colors in southern Indiana haven't peaked yet - should be some beautiful fall scenery to enjoy this Saturday. Unfortunately the weather forecast is showing a pretty good chance for rain but a high of 75 degrees.
If you prefer to not get your vette dirty I understand but don't let a chance for rain keep you from driving in something else from your garage that you don't mind if it gets a bit of grime on it.
Here's some pics from today, including one of the two fireplaces in our shelter that we can use to take the early chill off.
By the way, we'll be driving by some pumpkin patches - watch out for the Great Pumpkin - and there's a Haunted Mansion in French Lick open 6-9 Saturday night which might be fun.

I'm going to get there around 10 and start getting organized. I'm going to pick up some firewood in Brownstown and get a fire going to get the chill off. I'm expecting Tim, Yvonne and Ted to roll in around 11:30 or so. Haven't heard lately from the other Avalanche folks but I know they like to eat. Will start up the charcoal around 11:30 or so for the dogs and brats. See you tomorrow!

I'm bringing the vette rain or shine as well, the Mrs can drive the truck. She's going to have leave early to attend a wedding later in the day.

Getting the pics in order; we had a fanstastic tkme. Thanks to Greg for coordinating this.
We started out rain free... with some damp roads. Once we left French Licky to head home... had rain all the way home. Stopped to eat once, got home 10pm.

I hope everyone had a good time - it seemed like everyone was enjoying the gtg but I might be biased!
I was very glad that the rain held off during the cookout. I think this was the best weekend for the fall colors in the area - too bad we didn't have a sunny day to really light them up. It was a shame that the West Baden Hotel was closed for a private event. Something to look forward to for next year I guess!
My pics aren't great but here they are. The 3rd pic shows one of the Avalanchers taking a pic of the view in the 2nd pic.
