Bloomington Gold Major Price Increase
Well, Corvette fans, it seems that as a token of their appreciation for your support over the years, including the last few rather lean ones, Bloomington Gold is getting out the whipping stick and jacking up their prices significantly.
A one day pass will now cost you $25, up ten bucks from last year’s $15 advance price. The weekend pass is now $60, compared to last year’s $40. That’s a 50-66% increase in price over last year.
But I’m sure the show will be 50% better than last year then, right???

the price always goes up and you get less . went to every StCharles show . I love Corvettes but after the first 500 or so they get boring . I always said to my friends they needed some kind of driving venues , not there road trip which was always a traffic jam but they had the air port right next door for drag racing or high speed runs . but for many reasons they did not do that or could not . like chevy vette fest they turned it in to a muscle car show maybe thats what bloomington gold needs half vette show half muscle cars . just an idea .

Was rather disappointed in it last June. Not only did they move the show further away, the number of vendors was pathetic and the placement of all the cars for viewing was confusing. Have a feeling that I'll try and go to Carlisle - I know it is further away but I've never been to that show so it might be a good time for it.

With being in the middle of Ohio, I think I am going to pull a every other year for both Bloomington Gold and Carlisle. But Bloomington Gold will just be a day visit, where Carlisle will be at least a day and a half. I like to get to Carlisle on Thursday night and be there all day Friday, then go back Saturday morning to see if I can pick up any good deals and then start heading back home. For Bloomington Gold in Indy, we have family in Indiana and can stay with them on a Friday night and get up early on Saturday to head over and spend the entire day. I can see all of Bloomington Gold in one day. Both good shows in their own regard in my opinion, but I like the fact that I can go back and forth easily.

Always very satisfied with Carlisle it takes more than one day to see it all, missed the last couple of years because of medical issues.

we sold parts at the first three St Charles shows, first year in one space I did $5000, second year in two spaces I think about $3200, third year in three spaces with help maybe $2000, but the kicker was that third year when I took along an original 427/435hp #351 block, people would walk by and ask my daughter "how much"? she would say "six", each guy to a man would respond six hundred? she just smiled, we later sold that block for $6K after that she refused to go and I saw the writing on the wall and stopped wasting my time....Bloomington Gold is DEAD!

Even with family in Indy, I'll pass also. Unfortunately these events price themselves out of visitors. The museum is free (membership that is) makes for a nice drive also.
