Visiting Schaumburg Illinois
Hey folks,
I'm heading to Schaumburg Illinois for a week's worth of training (April 25 - 29). I'm staying at the Holiday Inn on Roselle Rd. Is this a Corvette friendly area or should I drive my truck?
Any interesting points of interest to visit in the evenings? Looking for restaurant and / or things to do suggestions. I don't drink so bar / brewery info is only good if there is good food.
Thanks,
Frank

Schaumburg area should be very Vette friendly - suburbia. You're not too far from the Woodfield Mall, which means there will be a ton of restaurants in the area. There's a comedy club near/at the Mall too.

Every Wed night there is Car/ Bike night at Strats 231 E North Ave Villa Park, IL. Usually a good gathering of Corvettes.
Its a 1o min drive from your hotel

I've lived in Schaumburg on and off for the past 7 years or so. The Vette will be fine. Happy to answer any questions, You can PM me here. Hope you are enjoying your stay this week.
You may have seen there are quite a few places to eat.
Seafood, I would recommend Bonefish grill (roselle and schaumburg rd) you'll probably need a reservation they are always crowded.
Season's 52 is also great place to eat (although can be pricey) and located right next to Woodfield mall and streets of woodfield
If you like Korean BBQ there are several in the area I would just google. They are all pretty good.
Maggianos , Italian food again right by streets of Woodfield as well.
Bahama Breeze is one of my favorites, on Golf Rd west of the mall
In terms of entertainment or stuff to do.. The Improv Comedy Club at Woodfield mall is good, but depends on what kind of Comedy you like and who is playing Other than that, movie theater and the rest is pretty much like any other suburb

Thanks for the replies. Looks rather drippy and cold for the bike and car gathering tonight.
We did hit Season's 52 last night and are likely going to Maggianos tonight.
