McHenry man killed in crash with tree Monday
McHENRY – The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified the 35-year-old McHenry man who died Monday after a single-vehicle crash on Route 120.
Cainen Riemann was pronounced dead at 7:44 p.m., a little more than an hour after the car he was driving struck a tree in the 2000 block of Route 120, according to a news release from McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski.
McHenry County Sheriff's Deputy Aimee Knop said the crash happened about 6:30 p.m. when a newer model Chevrolet Corvette that was traveling east and left the road for unknown reasons.
The car hit a tree in the ditch on the south side of the road, trapping both the male driver and a female passenger in the vehicle, Knop said. The McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded and extricated both people from the car.
Cainen Riemann was flown by Flight for Life to Centegra Hospital – McHenry, where Majewski said he was pronounced dead.
His wife and passenger, who Majewski identified as Kaylan Riemann, was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition. Her condition was unknown as of Tuesday morning.
Majewski said an autopsy on Cainen Riemann will be performed within the next day to determine the cause of death.
Police continue to investigate the crash.

Yeah not much to find on the web. She is still fighting. I believe it has to do with swelling of the brain. And hope is that once the swelling goes down more good things will come. It'll be a long road to recovery..
