This is a new location. People displaying their Corvettes on the Flag display (red, white and blue) will arrive by noon. General Admission begins at 2 PM. Remember this is a charity event that raises money and collects food for local food pantries. We are asking for a 10.00 donation at the gate. Receipts will be in your goodie bag. Please check out this year's souvenir book. Harlan Charles said he wouldn't mind signing some copies. Food will be available, Corvettes Central and Aresco lifts will be there.

At 7:30 PM the Oakland County Sheriff will escort us around the Pontiac loop before we continue south on Woodward. When I began this event 12 years ago Wednesday night was a quiet night. Not any more. We will drive south on Woodward to Eleven Mile and bring our food donations to the Open Hands Food Pantry at St. John's Church. If you do not plan to make it all the way a van will be on site at the M1 to accept donations.

Here you can continue having a great time with you new and old friends.
The Moose Preserve has great food and drinks. Wednesday special is fried chicken.
Hamburgers are great and there is even wild game on the menu.
When you get into the restaurant head to the right and either eat inside or the patio. We like this place because it is very friendly and they do not rush you out so you have time to have a good time.

Ken owns about 150 cars. There are about 50 Corvettes, 50 Muscle Cars and 50 Special Interest. There is no charge but Ken does have a donation box set out and many people go home with some Lingenfelter clothing and a signed poster by Ken.

On Thursday afternoon, if you are in the area, Verna and I like to go to Bahama Breeze Restaurant. If you go between 4 - 6 the appetizers are half price and so are some of the great drinks. We did not officially set up a time here so you may want to call ahead. We usually get the coconut shrimp and chicken quesadillas.

Thursday night at the M1 Concourse Time to be announced

Here is a treat. Optima Battery Company has invited all who attend Corvettes on Woodward at the M1 to come back Thursday night for a free drive in movie. I hope people will be patient here because this is a new location for me and all these events are new to the owners of the M1. This year will be a big learning curve.

There will also be drag racing on Woodward Avenue just outside the M1 on FRIDAY. I will be sending out more information soon.

We visit another private collection. There are less than 10 like this in the world so it is special. We go to Webber Wild life Museum. The owner is a big game hunter for over 50 years. He has a fantastic collect of live mount animals in his collection all set in natural settings. Almost all of the animals are with reach but please do not touch.

You will note that most of these places are in the middle of industrial parks and have very limited signage.

Down the Street from Webbers is a very good restaurant for pancakes and crepes. It is called the Pantry. Across the street from the Pantry is Morley's Chocolate factory. Stop by, take a tour, get a sample. End up in the store and buy some original Michigan Chocolate. Have some ice cream.

Also on Friday there are tours of Katech. These are usually limited to small groups of about 25. If interested, Katech is near Webbers. Please call me to get in a group, 586-876-6923. You can also send me an emailing requesting tours
