Couple of pictures from Corvettes on Woodward
The rain fell just after I arrived.
Everyone handled it in stride. It was a short downpour and the event didn't miss a beat.

The turnout was very strong considering everyone has access to live radar these days.
It was also the first time the event was held at the M1 Complex in Pontiac.
The corvettes in the pictures are parked on the tracks skid pad.
Everyone also got to drive on part of new track on the way out.

I couldn't go because of work. But I was out last night walking around Woodward (in Birmingham at Lincoln). Thursday is now as crazy as Saturday was 10 years ago. I'll be back out tonight (in Ferndale on 9 Mile) and tomorrow (in Royal Oak on 13 mile). Again just walking. I cruised with the Corvette Monday night. Been out in the ST (since I'm usually just parked and have passengers) since Tuesday.

Flag..... of Corvettes
Strange that no one mentioned that the skidpad was host to an American flag created from red, white and blue Corvettes. There were a couple of drones that were carrying cameras that filmed the event. Hopefully one of them is a member here and can post up some video.
We actually got TWO 2013 60th Anniversary Editions parked nose to tail in the bottom white row on the flag. With the Pearl / Silver stripes, they are easy to find. There were a total of four (at least that's what was found when walking around) Corvettes decked out in Anniversary stripes.
AND this was only one of the events that Larry had setup for the Corvettes on Woodward. Copies of Jerry Burton's "coffee table" book on Corvettes were given away by Larry to all the flag participants. Then a cruise on Woodward ending up at the Moose Preserve for dinner.
Then on Thursday, two separate tours on the west side of Detroit. The Lingenfelter Collection and world famous Pratt & Miller, builders of the C7.R racing Corvettes and Cadillacs. Both were places that raised a chill down the back of your neck as you were granted the privilege of seeing some of the most unique Corvettes (and Ferrari's and Bugatti's and one-of-a-kind vehicles) on the planet. Pictures were allowed in the Pratt & Miller lobby but not in any parts of the shop. It was still awesome to see the technology that is used in the C7.R cars and ask questions, all of which were answered. The P&M crew was nice enough to interrupt their work (the Corvettes were being loaded onto the transports) and allow our tours to go through.
Now it's Friday and there are still two more events today!! These two are on the east side of the city.... which reminds me... I have to get going.... Will post pictures and additional information later.

Some Ground Level Flag Pictures
As the cars were coming in...
some more as the day rolled on....
Put the California Pop top on to keep the sun off the blue leather interior....
Another 427 but in Big Block configuration....
My 60th Anniversary Collector's Edition with a Maroon C1 in the background....
As you can see from these pictures, Aleshia's and my cars are in the last white row on the bottom of the flag, left edge.
Thanks to Larry for pulling this all together and the M1 Concourse for hosting the three day event.

Drifting
Missed bringing my corvette this year but was able to get to m1 in time and see everyone pull out. Always a great event!
