Winter/year round storage south of Chicago
(2016)
Yeah, I know it's only August, but I found myself with half a dozen empty spots last winter as several folks sold or otherwise made other arrangements without telling me.
Plus I sold two of my own Vettes and two others that left in the spring had plans to sell also.
Can give references of several forum members that do store with me if desired.
I'm in the country near Peotone about 8 minutes from I57. I live on the property and I or my wife are pretty much always here. Plus 3 guard dogs(well, Yorkies)Very secure country residential area.
I don't run the heat any more, too expensive. But even on the coldest days it's usually above freezing. I'm comfortable in a sweatshirt when I'm out there. I do run ceiling fans in the spring to circulate the air.
Still, and always has been, $30 a month(buck a day partial), $2 to $4 month for battery tenders. I don't do this for the money, more so to help out other car nuts.
This is pretty much a casual arrangement. No contracts. You can pay when you remove the car if you want. Welcome to use my lift and wash facilities if you want.
Someone once asked if I have a sprinkler system, no.
Insurance on your vehicle will be your responsibility(remember, only $30 month!)

Mike,
I just posted asking about winter storage. Can you please PM me your contact information and references? This sounds perfect, I am looking to drop something off around the middle of October.
Thanks

Still have 3 spots available.
Two no shows, one because the recent bad weather interfered, one just never heard from.
Snow has melted, ground is frozen, so a short window to get someone else in.
These are spots where car MAY need to be moved in spring to get others out.
