Default Chicago: Anyone powder coat the composite intake plenum?

This upcoming winter I'm planning to redo my engine bay and considering getting the intake plenum (C5 LS6) powder coated. I've read on the forum that it can be done via Mike the Powdercoater even though it isn't metal. He's not taking on new customers according to his website and I'd prefer to have done locally anyway. Apparently it is simply lower temp and longer time, but not sure that is the only trick.

I know of multiple shops in the north/west/south burbs and can call to ask what they can do, though I'm concerned they may say yes without any real experience. Was hoping someone had first hand experience with this specific part and could provide a reference. Last thing I want to do is have it ruined because the Powder coat shop warped my intake.

As an alternative I can have it painted, but weighing my options right now as it is really early in the planning stages still. Thank you folks.

Don't bother powdercoating it, the intake manifold doesn't get that hot. I've had my Fast 90 intake smoothed out and painted for years now and looks like new.

Thanks. I've come to that conclusion too. Plan to pull it off over winter and take my time with it.
