My 2009 Corvette has been leaking oil and my local Chevy Dealer Sullivan Chevy in Champaign IL wants nearly $1.000 to replace the oil pan gasket. Before committing to such an expensive repair I'd like a second opinion and a second estimate. Does anybody in Central IL have a good independent C6 Corvette mechanic they could recommend?

Almost 3hr away but try Greg at STG Motorsports (on facebook) in Granite City. You won't find a guy more meticulous.

Sounds great but too far away; 6 hours roundtrip plus job probably will take several hours,

I am also interested since I am in the area too. No problems so far that I can't take care of myself but it is always nice to have someone to fall back on if something should pop up in the future.

Still no suggestions? Looks like I may need to have my H/B replaced this year. I noticed a bit of wobble.
