After this latest snow storm this weekend all my toys are temporarily on lock down mode (but hopefully some will be out sooner than later) but it certainly seems like old man winter came into town right in time this year. I am really happy with my decision to pick up a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee to torture during the bad winter days. I now believe every car guy really needs a true winter beast of a vehicle in his garage to abuse and torture without any regrets during bad winter days and if you drive a nice car like I did with my 08 Challenger Hemi SRT8 for 6 winters, you really get bored with the car that much faster and lose respect for it.

At a boy Yukon
It will be a good 4 months before this beast sees the light of day again!
My 2010 Viper ACR is definitely in lock down also (and no don't ask).
My 2016 Mustang GT 5.0 with its performance package will definitely be seeing some light winter action.
Well, you certainly can't say I am a car brand specific guy because my 3 fun cars right now represent all the Big 3, Chevy, Mopar and Ford.
My 2002 Jeep Cherokee will be seeing the lion share of winter action and it feels nice to have a beater to abuse in the salt.

That's the color I was looking for when I bought mine Bob, but I came across this for an awesome deal so I bought it.

Roads are fairly salt free and dry now and put over well over 100 miles since Monday on my 2016 Mustang GT. Felt great getting away from my winter beater and rowing the gears and hearing that 5.0 engine sing.

Thanks to the last gasp of what turned out to be an an easy end (after a rough start) of December my 2016 Mustang GT 5.0 with its manual tranny and 3.73 factory gears have hit the streets since last weekend!
If the forecast holds out the ACR will be out for the holiday weekend heading into the January and the New Year.

It was a nice day so I got the Corvette out today. It's like "Corvette Summer" today. I still have not put the Corvette in the garage yet today I send this photo to Tom Skilling as a Weather Picture.

Excellent Yukon looking good my friend.
I am with you the roads are dry and the salt is minimal so I broke out this bad boy today and will be stretching her legs all weekend! When the roads are like they are I actually believe the main roadways and highways are actually cleaner than the middle of summer when all the construction crap makes a huge terrible mess of dust, limestone, tar, dirt, grime, etc., etc.
Wishing everybody here a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Don't forget, life is short, drive those bad azz toys as often and as possible as you can and stay thirsty my friends!

Drifting
The rain last week washed the salt off the road after the ice storm so on the 28th we took the 13 GS for a 100 mile cruise for the wife's birthday. We will get her 69 Camaro SS out some time in January.

Had my '69 Coupe out for one last drive on New Year's Day before buttoning her up for storage for the long Michigan winter. (I had to get the Sta-Bil circulated "fully" through the system, dontcha know)
Blue skies, crisp temps, but clean roads to enjoy one last loop around the county until spring.
Have a great New Year everyone!
