Anyonr know a good independent mechanic in Chicago for my 65?
I've been unhappy with my mechanic (wouldn't do the work that I asked, would keep the car for months) and need to find a new one. Anyone know a good mechanic?
I like to deal with competent seasoned mechanics with small independent shops that work on older cars rather than large "vette shops". I live in downtown Chicago and a city based shop would be best. I'm the kind of guy that will find a good shop and take my car there as long as they are in business. It's not so important that the work be cheap, just as good as the work I would do myself if I had the time.
So, anyone know a shop in Chicago?
Phil

Try Suburban Pit Stop at 7144 W. Ogden Ave. in Berwyn, (708-788-9299) i've heard good things about them.

Give Tri Power automotive a call, they have done several Bloomington gold restorations and do a great job on the "classic vettes" One of the few shops I feel very comfortable refering people to. They are located in Libertyville so you can drive up and catch the train back to the city.
