New guy question
Got the avatar and signature picture thing down. Wanted to create a public album and a private album for friends. Do I have to do all this photo bucket stuff to do this ? I understand the benefits pkg paying subscribers get. Previously owned two Corvettes, getting back into it. Slowly. This is going take a while. For a guy that is looking, but doesn't currently own a Corvette, a paid membership is a bit of an extravagance. No dis-respect intended.
On the other hand, I see some people only join the forum to sell a Corvette. So I can see certain ... limitations for non subcribers.
But I just wanted to put a little bit of myself out there, so members would know I'm an enthusiast, not a collector or speculator.
So, do I have to have one of those photo accounts to do this ?

See the Help Guide for information:

This has nothing to do with PhotoBucket as the content is hosted on CorvetteForum locally.

You can use the img code highlighted in red. Click it or press "ctrl + c" then go to the corvette forum message window that your creating your post in and press "ctrl + v" pasting the code directly. This allows you to avoid hitting the "add image" button and inserting the link into the small window that appears in the upper left. Thanks Zymurgy for pointing that out.

When I paste the IMG line into a post, the forum changes the line to an attachment line. The result is the picture and then a second one as an attachment.
See:

for the result and more information.
Can anyone tell me what is going on? What changed?
Thanks.

This is the method that I have used for several years. Today it started doing something different.

Here is where the root cause of the issue was mentioned by the CF mods.

I have tried three times to insert pictures. I followed all the tips and instructions in this forum with no luck. I created a photobucket account and uploaded the photos. I copied the directlilnk and pasted it into the prompted spaces. The address shows corectly but all I get on a preview is the red X. This is getting to be a pain.
