Default Posting References, Descriptive Link Names, F/B Browsing including Link Posts

Posting References, Descriptive Link Names, Forward/Backward Browsing including Link Photos

This post is for those that have an interest regarding References, Descriptive Link Names, Forward and Backward Browsing while using references in Posts (see A. Background below). For those that are even further interested, see B. Link Photo below.

In this link below if you go to that link (left click) you will find you cannot browse forward or backward in the thread.

If you add the "c4-zr-1-discussion/3083189-anti-freeze.html#post" to "thread" and delete the -post12.html you will find you can go to that post and browse forward and backward in the thread.

A simple way of getting Forward and Backward Browsing is to click on the thread anti-freeze (underlined) top left of this post http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1581256495-post12.html and copy that url as a reference.

Now if you type that post as descriptive Link Name (space between u and r so you can see what I am doing), you can put any title you want in any color you want for the descriptive Link Name.......like this.....

[u rl=http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-zr-1-discussion/2580721-my-90-zr-1-project-update-thread.html]Ben's 90' Restoration[/u rl]

You will get this left clickable reference Ben's 90' Restoration thread

Or a left clickable link to an individual's profile Dynomite

Or better yet....left click anywhere on this picture (See B. Link Photo below).

All descriptive Link Name references show up underlined which means they are functional by left clicking on the descriptive Link Name (If a descriptive Link Picture is used just left click on the picture). Then if you left click on the "X" in upper right hand corner of your menu bar (Select Close current tab) you get right back to your original post.

A. Background

It is assumed you want to refer to a post to add support to your own post on an issue or provide a reference post that might answere a technical question on its own.

To reference a post in your post, go to that referenced post and left click on the post number upper right hand corner of post. Then copy the post http (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) from your own menu bar and paste that http into your own post. You can then modify the reference as cited above for forward and backward browsing or the addition of a description Link Name.

The http for this post is http://forums.corvetteforum.com/help...post1581457668 or modified as cited above This Post Reference

B. Link Photo

New Trick......lets call it Link Photo or Video Link Photo (depending if you reference is a Post or a Video).
A new way to place a clickable reference picture (picture of your choice) for your Post or Video reference in the reference itself

Ken Block in San Francisco......left click anywhere on the picture

For those interested in Link Photos I will tell you how to do it later :p

OK...here it is [U RL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LuDN2bCI yus"][I MG]http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/dynomite007/KenBlock.jpg[/I MG][/U RL]

where thie picture [I MG]http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll142/dynomite007/KenBlock.jpg[/I MG] is imbedded in the URL
