Default slow forums?

Is anyone else having a slow time with reading threads? It seems like this website has too much overhead with videos, ads, and such that prevent quick browsing...and I have the 25meg fios service.

It does seem to be running slower lately. Not sure why.

It runs very slowly on my iPad. I use the iPad about 90% of the time. I would think that there is more activity then was planned for originally. I will increase my support if needed to update the system.

Many times, the slow "getting ready to load" is the ad server seeming to take forever to start. You can thank asynchronous routing on the interweb for that. If a forum page takes a long time to start loading, just stop the load and refresh the page. Many times that will fix it as a different route is taken for the return data.

I had a feeling that it had to do with the ad loading at the top. Also, there is a video there that could cause delays...

I wonder if there is some innovative ways to incorporate that stuff without delays to improve reading and looking through the forums and the threads.
