I do see 1 benefit to the ads being on the right....Makes it easier to Ignore them
just my 2cents

I agree. Move it back to the left.

It also eliminates the possibility of accidentally clicking on them.

I still don't like the change. Wait for the vendors to complain about slower sales and they'll get changed again.

I don't like it because now I have to move my mouse fully right to select one of the C6 Forums, and then have to move the mouse fully left to select a thread.

But I'm sure that the powers-that-be know what's good for me. I also realize that it won't change, either.

Screw it - they didn't ask us what we wanted before they made the change, so I'm pretty sure they aren't very interested in hearing what we do and don't like after they've made this change.

A bit better now with a small right side margin, but to get to certain Smiley’s you have to hit the (more) thing to be able to get to see them.

Nice going IB fix something that did not need to be fixed!! There is an old car saying if it runs good leave it alone!!!!!!
Ah progress.

The padding to the left was added as a result of the feedback.

The More link to view more smilies has always been there as long as I recall being involved.

Could you at least make the padding on the sides equal so it looks even?

Wow!! I hope they didn't strain their collective brains with that "MAJOR" change..

Right you are, BUT you did not need it to hit certain well used smileys.

It use to be 4 across, now its 3 across. More progress for IB, less user friendly for the users.

I checked the settings and it's still set for 4 per row and that's what I can see per the attachment.

What are you using to access and post on CF?

A dell computer purchased in 07 with Vista home premium, microsoft internet explorer and a 19'' samsun monotor using Road Runner as a ISP. service pack 2 installed inspron 530S

Well if its only me it must be some sort of setting. A setting that changed during this margin switch.

All I get now is 3 across, I do not touch settings as Im way far from a geek. It looks like the right margin covers over the last part of the smileys

If its only me sorry for bothering you and I will live with it, its not a big deal I find i'm on here less and less anyway. Im on 4 other forums and they all work fine.

Thanks, Dave

It may not be you - I was having the same problem with message text on many posts/threads. That problem is now fixed and I never see truncated text. Using IE 10 and Win 7 with 1440X900 resolution.

NOTE --I now have all right icons displayed but they do not work. They are sort of over the writting on the side margin and if clicked on they take me to the things printed there.

Thanks JT. My cat knows more about computers than I do!

I will just keep plugging along as best as I can.

***Update at 11.23 my time I posted on OT and all appears well I got all icons. Have not a clue what has or has not been going on!** Computer/forum seems to run slower than normal, but otherwise all works OK.

That is probably part of the issue and likely won't improve as 1024x768 is a lower screen resolution that is declining in usage.

Just now realized I have the same issue with the Icons being covered and my setup is 1440X900 resolution. Although, the overlapping links on the Icons don't always interfere.

Please post a screen capture so that we can review. Are you using any zoom in the browser?

Here's the screen shot - note 125% zoom.
