The "corvetteforum.com" security certificate is not valid. I have re-ceived
multiple pop-ups. I had to engage the services of a tech company to
clean and correct my computer. Please police your website.
Thank you.

I have the same problem. It started late last night and continues today.

Will this go away on its own, or do I have to do something to correct it ?

I don't believe CorvetteForum has a security certificate as CorvetteForum does not operate on secure connections which is common to similar sites like CorvetteForum. That and any malware on your machine may not be related but there isn't enough information to know.

No, Go Daddy issued the certificate for the site you referenced. Go Daddy is a provider who can issue certificates to websites requiring them.

Next time this occurs, screen capture the error with the page showing in the background so we can see more information. If this only happens on a specific page, also provide the link.

Default corvetteforum.com "infectious Virus"

When I first had this issue (last week) with the constant pop-ups I did not know the source od the virus. As I stated previously it took a tech over
Seven (7) hours to clean my hard drive of the virus. corvetteforum.com does not have a correct security certificate. I went on your sight yesterday my new security app told me that corvetteforum.com is NOT a secure sight. I am not going to risk my security to assist you. I am sending this E-mail on a mobile Apple device which is immune to the virus that has infected corvetteforum.com.

Internet Explorer has an option to check for certificate issues (revoke, etc.). Websites that use security certificates are generally ones that encrypt data between you and the servers and are usually for online shopping, banking, etc. CorvetteForum, much like similar communities, does not use encryption. Again, this is considered normal and you can see this yourself by visiting similar sites and not seeing https, a padlock icon, etc. I'm not aware of CorvetteForum having a security certificate.

You're view is perfectly acceptable. But I don't believe there is enough information to conclude that CorvetteForum was the source of your computer troubles. I have not noticed any widespread notices of reported pop ups and a virus.

We will investigate the certificate message but we need further information.

I would like to caution you that Apple devices are not immune to every threat.

As of late last night, the error message has gone away.

Guess you fixed it. (I hope)
