Default Admin, take note.

I went on line today and I was not logged in, and I noticed that my resent post had one of the words printed in bold blue indicating a link.

It was to a tire ad or something. I think that this is very misleading as a link could be interpreted as entered by the poster and links to a recommendation or something undesirable by the poster.

It is defiantly a modification of the posters own words.

I ran across same thing, NOT logged on, just in as a guest? Any other time it logs me in automatic.

Administrators and Moderators are not directly involved with the website's advertising, outside of enforcing Guidelines to include compliance with posting practices by Sponsors/Vendors, and thus are not responsible or have any control for the concerns you raise.

Those who aren't logged in will see more advertisements. This includes the embedded advertisement links that you noted. Links inside posts are not new on CorvetteForum nor are they uncommon on similar websites like CorvetteForum or larger commercial websites.

In regard to the logging in concern, everyone got logged out during some maintenance work. If you continue to get logged out, you will need to delete all CorvetteForum cookies. Manually logging out is not the same and will not resolve the issue. The issue is a corrupt cookie in the browser that needs to be deleted and recreated once you log back in using the Remember Me option after deleting all CorvetteForum cookies.

I never use Corvetteforum without being signed in and haven't seen what you are referencing. I do understand the practice you are talking about because I have seen it on other sites where I'm not registered.

J T understands the software better than any of us. I'd follow his suggestion.
