Default Threshold for turning off all caps

I wish to ask that it would take more than three caps to disable the all caps. Today I wanted to answer a a question in C7 general, and my answer was a simple TLC, but it would not let that through in all caps. I tried with spaces, I tried with periods, I tried with periods and spaces, and I finally had to write out Tender Loving Care.

I understand that you don't want people to "yell" at each other, but often, an acronym is what is needed, and it often is three or more letters, usually done in all caps (so people recognize it as such).

Thanks.

Did you try putting "TLC" in quotes?

But I agree that a smilie with that on it would be nice.

Then there is no easy way to do that. The software does not know the difference between caps lock and an acronym. It would require a 3rd party plugin, that may or may not exist, and likely a database of acronyms, and required maintaining of that database of acronyms that didn't get included, as well as extra queries to make it work.
