Default Anyone else having internet problems with CF lately?

For the past week I've had lockup issues with this site (Tonight seems to be a pleasant exception). The site gets very slow shortly after signing in, and usually locks up within minutes (a couple times I had to shut the computer down to reset things). For whatever reason, other car sites seem to work just fine this past week. Just curious if it's something odd with my computer or local provider, or if anyone else is having similar problems.

Thanks.

No problems here. I get on via double-click on a desktop shortcut icon 3 or 4 times a day, every day. I am using Firefox with AdBlocker Plus.

JT on the HELP forum can probably help you with your problems. That's what he's there for.

It's either your computer or your ISP. If it was the site, with 200,000+ members, there would be hundreds of people complaining about it.

Yeah, me too. Multiple computers and servers, (home & work) but the only common thing seems to be IE. The forum is the worst, but I have had issues with a few different sites.

Too bad there's not a forum here to get help like this.

no but I do know this, if you type a left arrow "the symbol", everything else after that will not get posted. Say goodbye to your fast forward or rewind posts.

Home desktop still runs XP... and I can't use it on this site, with either IE or Chrome. Laptop's Windows 8.1. and has no issues at all.

This site is THE ONLY site out of dozens I visit that the scroll bar on the right freezes and I have to reload the page.

Same here. freezes before it finishes loading the first thread click. I don't complain because I got better things to do, and nobody cares if you do complain anyway.

Just because a lot of users do not complain does not indicate that there is not a problem with this site.

It is a recurring problem. The last time it was blamed on the ad generator on here.

I have huge lockup and slow down issues and it seems to be when i clik on the "latest response" button. it is just pathetically slow all around so much so that i have stopped visiting the site .. about once a week is all i can stand. (of the slowness... you ******* amuse me so i miss that part!)

That's the issue most of the time for me, while also occasionally everything freezes up and I have to do a manual shutdown/reset of the computer.

In order to assist we need more information, such as:

1) Do you notice any specific ad when the issue occurs, such as a video or flash ad? If so, you need to provide us with a screen capture and click through link. Even if the browser appears locked, the screen capture function should still work.

2) Provide what browser and version you're using.

3) State if you have any browser extensions.

I've been experiencing issues lately, to the point where I rarely try to post. I don't know if it's related to any specific ad, but the site is very slow and causes lock-ups. I've experienced this on my windows laptop, my mac, and my ipad. I've used Explorer, Safari, and Firefox. I've been in multiple locations in NC, mostly around Durham, Raleigh, and Charlotte.

Internet Explorer will kick me out of Corvette Forum when I enter the Politics, Religion and Controversy section. Otherwise, seems to work okay.
