Default Problem with videos on CFOT?

It's very strange, but almost all of the posted videos in CFOT, regardless of what they are described as being, are showing up (at least on my computer), as a YouTube video of the "Puttin' On The Ritz" musical number from the Mel Brooks movie, "Young Frankenstein".

The image shown is Terri Garr, from the movie.

Clicking on the video just causes a message to come up, saying that it is not available due to copyright issues.

Is anyone else having this issue? It seems to have just started today.

It is not just you. I have been seeing that all over this site. I kept having that deja vu all over again thing.

Well, I'm glad it's not just me. It's a great movie, but it doesn't apply to all situations!

Doesn't do it for me. Maybe Adblock Plus has something to do with it.

Here's the one I checked:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...f-highway.html

Should I check others?

Doesn't do it with this one either:

Doesn't do it for me either. Not even with a plain Firefox (no filtering) profile.

A link to a specific post will be much better than a general reference to verify.

Well thanks for posting this, I have been trying to post one of my own videos in the C1,C2 section and it keeps embedding " Putting On The Ritz". Very strange.

Did you get a link to a video posted? If so, post a link to that post here so I can try looking at it.

I'll turn off my ad blocker.

Not seeing the issue with IE while posting in the CFOT as others stated:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1591780947

Need more information. Can't duplicate with IE nor Firefox (no fancy plugins).

1) Please provide a link to a specific post where the issue is seen.
2) State the browser and version
3) State the device (mobile device, etc.?)

Same here with Firefox and not using Adblock Plus. Runs okay without the problem.

I embedded the video in the testing section, still comes up as Putting On The Ritz. I'm going to try embedding the video at a different website and see what happens.

I replied to your Test video. You're posting the video incorrectly or using an outdated method. First, CorvetteForum doesn't allow IFRAME tags and hasn't for years. No forum would allow that if they're concerned about security. That's one problem. The second problem is you're using the old YT tag that has been discontinued for some time.

Simply copy/paste the URL of the YouTube and the software does the rest.

So:
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/jTpjzWr_TqY
will do:

So apparently what is happening is the old YT tag functionality, which was replaced some 2 years ago, no longer works. So those who have used, or are still using, the YT tag to link videos is the reason why this issue is seen.

We'll see if there's a better way to preserve the old YT tag.

My links don't have the word "embed" in them like yours does. I linked my video to a different website and it worked just fine. I will try again tomorrow.

I copied and pasted the code you highlighted in post #17 and it still embeds the Ritz video instead of mine. I didn't use the You Tube (Wrap [YT] around selected text) feature.
