Default Screen Locking up???

Have you changed something recently? When I change screens or switch sub forums, the screen comes up normally and I start to use my mouse wheel to scroll down past the "stuff" at the top and the screen freezes. The mouse wheel is being scrolled but the screen isn't moving. I'd estimate 3-5 seconds and then the screen frees up and starts moving in parallel to the scrolling mouse wheel. It seems that something is being held up by maybe an ad or 3rd party site or whatever. It's been doing this quite regularly for the last week or so.

Just asking...

Sounds like a CPU utilization issue with your computer. Could be a graphic ad that you're computer can't handle. I would try deleting your browser's cache as that may get rid of the ad - if that is the source of the issue. Otherwise, you'll need to identify the common ad that is always displayed whenever you have the issue.

Seems to be around the load of the "Tweet, Like, and Share" buttons.
I cleared my cache and my CPU is absolutely not being over taxed.

Eh, it is difficult to actually catch. Not enough to worry about if it's only me.

Your CPU is almost certainly being pegged. That is what causes the jerky, delayed, scrolling and/or delayed typing. That is not a setting on CorvetteForum. If you open the task manager you will probably see the CPU pegging/spiking when the issue occurs.

Nope, wasn't the CPU. It seems that Fire Fox is puking and causing the stuttering. I even tried it in SAFE mode and still jammed up on the scrolling. I downloaded Chrome and all of the problems went away.

On my Mac, I am having the same problem when using Mozilla. Works fine everywhere else, only happens on this site! I have uninstalled, and reinstalled Mozilla, with no change, after clearing cache.

If it's only happening using Mozilla on your Mac, then that might be an indication there's an issue between the two (browser and Operating System). Might need to use Apple's browser.

Given you're using a Mac, it's probably something related to that and not the same thing as reported here by a member.

I use Firefox, by Mozilla, on my Windows computers and I don't have this issue and it doesn't appear to be a widespread issue.

I have been using Mozilla on my Mac forever. This problem has only been a few weeks.

There's simply not enough information or shared reports.

Looks like Firefox was also updated for Mac within the past few weeks. So it could have been an update with Firefox. Or it could be any plugins or add-ons you have installed. Or it could be something on your mac. Or it could be CorvetteForum - though nothing to my knowledge has changed and Firefox is working fine for me on multiple Windows machines and no other members have reported this issue.

I use FireFox, and have had the same studder, stall, "not responding" issue for a few weeks now. It only does it on CF--no problem at other forums I hang out at, or Facebook.

YES!!! This has been going on several months now and it's worse than irritating. I have this problem only with CorvetteForum. I don't have a Mac and am still using Windows 8.0. The Forum locks up, yes it's pegging, but when the pegging goes away the Forum is still locked up and I have to reboot. I can clear the browser cache and the problem does not go away.
Any suggestions?
