for whatever reason one cannot change a thread title "after x amount of time".

what is "x amount of time"??

please take out the price of the title of my thread:

everyone encourages to put the price in the title (including me) but if I cannot change it its a moot point.

Price removed from title. It is 5 minutes, which is about close to standard for a default install. And there is no way to allow some threads, or sections, to have longer or shorter time. It is merely a one value setting.
