1) You're not using Remember Me option when logging in.
Solution: Make sure there's a check in the Remember Me box when you supply your username and password. If you don't do it, you will have to supply username/password every 30+ minutes of inactivity. This is by design for public computers.

2) Your browser is set to delete files upon exit.
Either select CorvetteForum as a Favorite and make sure Preserve Favorites Data is selected, or disable the delete files upon exit option. How you do this depends on the browser.

3) You're using 3rd party software that is removing browser files.
Solution: We can't provide support for this due to the amount of different products available and different settings.

4) You're using the log out link.
Solution: Don't use the log out link!

5) You have corrupt browser cookies for CorvetteForum.
Solution: Assuming you have a bad CorvetteForum cookie in your browser, how you delete it depends on the browser being used. There's an easy way of deleting ALL cookies for ALL sites and a more involved method of singly deleting cookies. Again, it depends on the browser being used.

But having the issue for 1 year, as you said, it may not be a corrupt cookie because sooner or later those cookies are going to get deleted anyways.

Maybe it's your settings or habits. Such as you not using the Remember Me option when logging in, having your browser automatically delete cache/cookies when the browser is closed, you deleting browser cache/cookies manually, or having a 3rd party security software deleting them.

If it's currently only happening on CorvetteForum and if you have a corrupt cookie for CorvetteForum, of course it's only going to happen on CorvetteForum.

LOL, then it's still corvette forums fault, who puts the cookie in my browser?

Any reason your team doesn't use update/delete/replace cookie code when you know you have this issue?

I provided information about the issue as well as how to resolve. This issue (continuously having to supply username/password) is not occurring to all members. You can listen to the simple list that I provided and make adjustments, if necessary, and not have forgotten login sessions. Or you can refuse to listen and continue having the issue.

Did you review the list I provided? If everything checks, you will not have the issue. Something is not correct with the settings or habits for that to occur.

And if you don't use the Remember Me, since you said using it or not to suggest you've tried not using it, you absolutely will get logged out and sometimes right in the middle of browsing. That's something that is common for AOL users.

JT its been that way for years...different computers you name it....I have been all through her settings....never happened to me...happens to her everyday. We can have both computers set up exactly the same she has the issue, I don't. I quit trying to figure it out.

Not trying to be argumentative, but I have been a member here for over 10 years. I have used the "remember me" box. Doesn't make any difference. I have looked at all my settings, I don't see anything I need to change. Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated. If I get logged off, and want to see something or read something, I simply log back on, no big deal, takes 5 seconds.

That is strange. CorvetteForum, 10 years ago (2006), would have been on different servers under different ownership and technical team as well as different software than today.
