It's not just at your computer. It happens here on two different Windoze computers.

If you want to view the gargantuan images, right click on the image and select "view image" on the pop-up menu. To return to the thread you were reading, click on the back arrow at the top of your browser.

As long as we are on subject of pictures, how does one rotate the avatar pic? Mine came out sideways!

Thanks Jim. Yes, I do that, but it's very annoying because I have to scroll back and forth to read the text in the posts.

It seems to be browser specific on my Win7 computer.

Opera is fine but Firefox and Palemoon are out of whack.

I never use IE.

It does it on both my Firefox and IE browsers............but then again, I am still on XP.

Note that it started doing it a few months back in IE, and since I have not had an IE or XP update in "years", I have to blame it on someting the forum did.

Happened to me with Firefox on Win 10 computer. Switched to the wife's Apple with Safari and it cleared up. Of course things got foggy when she caught me on her computer. The concussion will clear up in a few weeks, but the teeth will never grow back.

I use Firefox 99.9% of the time and don't have this issue. Our team did find that using older versions of Firefox appeared to result in the issue described. Updating Firefox to the latest fixed that issue. We had a few members report this issue with Firefox and also report updating resolved the issue for them.

And it's not a good idea to be using XP. Microsoft no longer provides support to normal retail customers for XP. This means that operating system is no longer receiving security patches. Security issues are not confined to a browser, so just running a modern browser on an outdated operating system does not give a pass.

You might check with Firefox's support because I'm not sure they're supporting Firefox's latest to run on XP - or atleast it's limited based on service packs. Many software vendors no longer support XP.

A much different topic. You need to use a 3rd party software to rotate your picture. You can't make those types of adjustments to an Avatar on the forum.

Reason why it came out that way? Likely the orientation of the device taking the picture was that way. Some software can read that and make corrections to display it properly. An avatar on a forum is generally not one of them.

Edit: I fixed your avatar myself.
