Takes 2 to 6 tries to connect / log in
For the past two weeks, it takes me two up to six tries to log in.
Keep getting message "Corvette Forum not responding"
"Recover Web Page"
No other site gives me problems.
Has to be a problem on your end!

Your error message doesn't mean it's absolutely CorvetteForum's end. Even if it only happened to you while on CorvetteForum, that also doesn't mean it's absouletely CorvetteForum's end because with the millions of other websites, it would be a full-time job to load all websites to see how many other websites may or may not result in the same issue.
You'll need to check your IE settings and any plugins. What is happening is IE appears to be freezing/crashing, which it shouldn't be doing. If you look on Microsoft's support website, they have articles pertaining to this specific error. Surely it wasn't written for only CorvetteForum

Read your first sentence.
Now read your second sentence.
Don't they contradict each other?
Haven't changed any settings on this end.
I've been through this before only with this Forum.

As you probably realized, it was a typo. I corrected it for clarification.
You said nothing has changed on your end, but software does update in the background. OS updates occur in the background as does anti-virus software updates. If none of those things are occurring, then you're open to malware or other software infections that can in fact cause the issue you're describing because what you have described is IE is crashing/freezing, which it is not normal.
Did you take the time to look at Microsoft's support and run through their checklist of things in their own articles for this issue? While CorvetteForum may be a large community, Microsoft didn't publish articles on IE freezing for only CorvetteForum visitors.
There are numerous logins in per day, so if this was a global issue, there would be numerous reports. Given how this Help section tends to attract members who report issues, one would think the issue you've reported would have been noted (especially by multiple members) in the 2 weeks you say this issue has been occurring. An issue to this degree for this duration would result in multiple posts and threads if it were a global issue.
What I'd first do is clear your browser's cache. I'd then run a malware scan as well as anti-virus scan. I'd also make sure your software is updating, if it is not. If the issue continues, then I would look at Microsoft's support for IE freezing/crashing. You will find that Microsoft recommends taking some steps and checking some settings for the issue you describe.

I am having the same problem as OP for about the last two weeks when trying to access the HOME PAGE. If I go directly to the forum page I have no issues. I am running windows 10 Microsoft edge with auto updates. No problems with other websites.

That doesn't sound like the same issue. OP said IE crashes when trying to log in the forum. You said IE Edge (different browser) crashes on the homepage (different area).
IE Edge is a lightweight browser. It does not work with every website, which is why Microsoft still has the full IE. You may need to use the full IE browser.

I think it has something to do with your advertisements?
Homepage opens fine, adds disappear and then the top add comes back
fine.
Next "Ads: Digital throttle", appears where second add should be?
This is after X- ing out" restore webpage.
Then "Latest Videos" add appears and all is fine.
I attempted to contact Microsoft Support and their estimated charge
was $44.00?
