Default William "Farrell" Hardiman

William Farrell Hardiman, born Feb 08 1931, passed on Oct 11 2015 at his home in Gulf Breeze, Florida after a long illness.

He was known as "Mr Corvette" and was a founding member of Miracle Strip Corvette Club in the 1960s. Many years he raced and restored Corvettes. It was an honor to know him and the club was asked to attend the funeral with our Corvettes as one last tribute to a man who so loved the cars.

RIP Farrell, you will be sorely missed.

Farrell was a great friend and fellow Corvette enthusiast for more than 35 years. He personified patience and persistence in everything he did. Farrell took life seriously, but never himself. If he was having a bad day, the only one that might have known of it was his loving wife of 64 years Jean, and she'd never tell. Always with a kind word and plenty of encouragement for those around him. His enthusiasm and sense of humor were contagious.

I will surely miss, but always remember his ever present smile and cheerful disposition.

He restored 37 Corvettes in his lifetime, and sold every one except one beautiful red C1 he gave to his son. It lead the funeral precession.
