Hello from Germany
Hello everybody...
My name is René, I am 40 years old and I am living in Rüsselsheim/Germany. I am working at GM Europe (Opel) in the Design Center.
When I was a boy all my friends wanted Porsche, Ferrari, etc. modelcars to play with... but not me. I always wanted loved Corvettes!
Now, I had been searching for a long time to find the right one for me... I started looking for a C5 some years ago but there were not the right offers available... and after some time I thought buying a classic Corvette would be an even better idea because I love classic cars, there are so many nice events here and... in case of some necessary service or repair I could do more on a car without electronics.
So... last year in October my dream came true. I found my Corvette in the German Corvette Forum. It was located just 120 Miles away from my home, so my wife (she loves Corvettes too) and I went there to see it. It was owned by a lady who had the car for 15 years. She bought it from an American who brought it from Phoenix/AZ to Germany. After almost 5 hours of deep investigations and negotiations and a test drive we finally decided to buy the car!
Some technical details (pictures are available in my album)...
- 1972 Corvette Coupe
- 350 cui 200hp Base Engine
- 4-speed Manual Transmission
- Classic White Exterior
- Black Leather Interior
- Stereo Radio
- Air Condition
- Heavy Duty Suspension
- Power Brakes
- Power Steering
Well, I guess these are some first details about me/us.
Cheers...
René
