Alois from Munich, Bavaria, Germany is online
Hello,
I am new to this forum and would like to apologize for my bad English.
I'm from Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
I bought just over one year a Corvette C3 built in 1976.
The Corvette comes from Twisp, Washington.
Now I am here in search of Launa and Michael Ownby, these are the previous owner of the Corvette.
Anyone here knows the two?
Last year we took the Corvette 6500 miles without a single problem. We were in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy and Switzerland go.
My Corvette can you see http://www.fette-vette.de.
Ciao Alois ...

There's a Launa and Michael Ownby in Twisp WA. You might send them a letter and see if they are the past owners of your car. The address listed is
State Route 153
Twisp, WA 98856-9725
I hope you reconnect with the original owners. Several years ago I bought a Datsun Z and one day I got an email from the original owner. Surprised the heck out of me! He had gotten my name from the person I bought it from. He had purchased the car new and had lovingly taken care of it before it was sold to a car collector. When he sold the car in the late 1990s it had 45k miles on it. I still have it and it has 47k on it. It is a truly a remarkable car and looks like it could have just been driven off the show room at the dealers!! I enjoy talking to the original owner and he has kept the connection to his car. I offered to sell it back to him but he is elderly and his wife is very ill. He is glad his car has a home where it is loved and cared for. Good luck and post if you are able to connect to the owner of your vette. I have a 60 vette and I love it!

thanks for the help. The address I have from the customs Title from the Corvette.
I found Launa Ownby in Facebook. She responds to emails unfortunately.
Maybe someone here in the forum knows the Ownbys.
Perhaps there is someone in the forum from Twisp.

Here is the answer from Launa Ownby:

Hi Alois,
I would love to give you information on the Corvette but I don't know much about it. We bought it from a man that was dying of cancer just to help him out. My husband drove it from the mans house to a friend of ours in Spokane and that was the last we seen of it. We were going to keep it but it turned out that a friend of ours had a jeep he wanted to sell so my husband bought it. The bad wife that I am I told my husband we could only afford one toy at a time so he decided he would give up the vet. That is when we asked our friend to take it to the auction. I'm glad you love the car it is a bueatifull vehicle. I never even got to ride in it. I seen a 1976 Stingray sell for $18,000.00 on the TV the other day. Yours is just as good looking at the one that sold.
I'm sorry we could not tell you more about the car. Have a good time with your "little red Corvette."

Can you help me to find out the origin of the Corvette.
Ciao Alois...
